A full node stores chain state and memory roots. An archive node also keeps every memory trie ever committed, which is what the explorer runs.
8 cores, 32 GB RAM and 2 TB NVMe for a full node. Archive nodes need about 14 TB and growing.
Snap sync downloads state at a recent finalized height and verifies it against the header chain. Full sync from genesis takes about a week.
| mode | disk | serves |
|---|---|---|
| light | < 1 GB | headers and proofs |
| full | 2 TB | current state, recent memory |
| archive | 14 TB | all history and memory |
Nodes do not run inference. Only sealers and agents need model access.
